STEP 1 - INQUIRY

Once you reach out, fill out the form, text, phone or email, we’ll respond within one business day. This is where we learn more about what you have in mind and see if we’re a good fit for your project.

STEP 2 - INITIAL VISIT

Mark meets with you at your site. We talk through your ideas and budget, and I share some preliminary thoughts with you. It’s an opportunity for us to get to know each other and for you to decide if Canvas feels like the right fit for your project.

STEP 3 - DESIGN

We gather as much information as we can about your site — reviewing lot surveys, taking measurements and photographs of the property and buildings, assessing grading, and more. This information becomes your base plan: a detailed, scaled drawing of your site.

From there, we add the hardscape elements we discussed during the site visit and begin laying out the gardens and other elements that will make up your new outdoor space.

STEP 4 - PRESENTATION

We visit your property to walk you through our preliminary design. We walk the site together and spray out the proposed hardscape elements, so you can see how the design will fit within the space. This is where we make refinements — adjusting dimensions, shapes and scale to bring the design in line with your vision.

STEP 5 - SELECTIONS

We make expert recommendations on hardscape and softscape selections, but in the end, it’s your space. So, it’s off to the stone yard and nursery to see what speaks to you. Together, we’ll make the selections that bring your new landscape to life.

STEP 7 - CONSTRUCTION

Once we’ve agreed on the plans and price, our crew brings the design to life. Following the plan, we obtain the required locates and permits and get to work — beginning with excavation, followed by hardscape construction, tree and shrub planting, lighting installation, mulch and all the finishing touches.

STEP 8 - ENJOY

We turn your new space over to you with a full warranty and expert advice on how to nurture and care for it. And if you ever have a question, we’re always just a text, email or phone call away.
